Fun period dust jacket with colorful front panel illustration of two children reading the book. Dust jacket rubbed with mild soiling and some creasing along edges, 1.5cm chip at spine head with shallower loss at heel, tears and smaller chips at other edges, top corner of front flap is price-clipped; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Red cloth with pictorial front board, light scuffing at spine ends and at bottom board corners, boards slightly bowed. Endpapers well toned; interior leaves toned at margins as is typical of contemporary inexpensively-produced Platt & Munk publications. B/w inset illustrations throughout by compiler George Carlson. A very good- copy in a good+ dust jacket. Features well-known riddles such as "What is black and white and red all over?" to the more comic like "What is the difference between Noah's ark and Joan of Arc?" (Answer - "One was made of wood and the other was Maid of Orleans.").
