Unclipped…d/j has bright colour print tipped on to front but some toning to front and rear and some staining to spine. The corners of the beige boards are a little bumped and slightly rubbed. The Vellum spine has a little edge rubbing and fading with the title label on the spine a little d…amaged at the edges with slight fading to the gold title lettering. Top of page edges browned with light spotting. Previous owner's 1967 book plate to front pastedown but the marbled endpapers are otherwise unmarked. Earlier' owner's initials in ink to reverse of front free endpaper. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. Contains an introduction by William Rose, Caxton's text of The History of Reynard the Fox modernized by William Swan Stallybrass, Physiologus translated with an introduction by James Carlill, a Glossarial Index and Notes to Reynard by Stallybrass and illustrations by Kaulbach.
