Mit Gedichten und Dialogen durchsetzter Roman eines seinerzeit populären Vielschreibers (1758-1817), der 1801 vom damals fünfzehnjährigen Carl Maria von Weber zu einer Oper gestaltet wurde (Libretto bearbeitet von Joseph Türk, Uraufführung Augsburg 1803). Webers Jugendwerk wurde von Michael Haydn, seinem damaligen Lehrer, mit viel Anerkennung bedacht und hat sich im Manuskript vollständig erhalten.
