      Condition: Fair. 1930. First Edition. 254 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations and photographic plates. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Cracks to guttering, exposing netting. Binding is slightly loose however pages and plates remains firmly attached. Faint pencil markings to front endpaper. Plates are lightly tanned. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Heavy markings and staining to front board and spine. Gilt lettering is darkened.

Contains black and white plates. Ex-libris plate stuck to front pastedown. Pages are noticeably tanned with minor foxing throughout. Heavier tanning to towards start and end of the book. Pencil mark to front free endpaper. Cracking to gutters with exposed netting in few places. Plates are moderately tanned with some foxing. Binding is shaky. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surface. Small scratches and stain to both boards. Moderate sunning to spine with visible crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened.

Illustrated with skating diagrams, and photographic plates of the author and others; includes sections on figure, free and pair skating, as well as acrobatic skating and ice hockey. Original bright yellow cloth, lettered in black, now a touch dusty at edges; small spot on front, another on rear; internally excellent. White photo-pictorial (Diana Kingsmill free skating) dust jacket, lettered in red and black; publisher's "4/6" sticker overlaying original "2/6" price on front; minor wear at corners, with short closed tear at top front; lightly dusty, especially along front fore edge. A near fine copy.
