Good+ better than a reading copy though! no dj dark boards have rounding to corners and both ends of spine, but no significant loss. front board has whitened areas ( old splashes? ) but not unsightly. gilting to spine has dulled considerably - hard to read. internally the ffeps have significant area of browning ( old bookmark?), but no inscriptions. ditto the rear endpapers. the title page notably foxed, as are the textblock edges. there are the odd tarnish spots in the text, but nothing unsightly. all inconsistent with age. a rare title. details the exploits of the french submarine Casabianca, commanded by the author, from the time of her escape from. Toulon in April 1942 to the liberation of Corsica in Sept 1943. with photographs and maps.
