A very cheerful yellow color. They are very clean, only a few specks, one small area of dulled yellow off the front top edge. The design on the front and the letteri…ng on the spine are both nicely bright. There is a loss off the top edge of the spine, a teeny bit of the same at the bottom edge. There are a few creases on the rear cover and on the spine. There is a bump above the front bottom corner. The cover edges are in good shape, one little dent, no rubbing. The cover corners are free of rubbing. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. There's some light discoloration on the inside covers, a little puffiness on the rear one. The pages are exceptionally clean. I'm not finding any soiling. They are semi-glossy. They are nicely bright as well. There are a good many black-and-white photographs. They are all in excellent condition. The aforementioned bump to the front bottom corner of the cover has reverberated through all the pages, that is to say there is a small crease above their bottom corners. It does not come anywhere near the text or illustrations. I didn't see any other conspicuous creasing. There are no placeholder creases. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. I have always had it in a fitted protective cover. However, as you can see, there was some wear before I bought it some years ago. There is loss at both spine ends, a spot of loss of the bottom edge of the rear cover as well. There are three small losses at the middle of the spine. The front cover looks pretty clean. The rear cover has a thin slightly darkish vertical line. The flaps are in quite decent shape, just a little bit of crinkling at their top edges, and it tiny bit of loss around the corners which are shared with the middle edges. Inside the book there are two loose inserts from the publisher, one was sent to a potential reviewer, the other simply has printed on it 'With the Compliments of the Author.' From the dust jacket: 'Everybody's Polo is not a chimera, but a practical possibility for all who have the love of horses and riding in their bones.'.
