Being the experiences of an officer in France and England during the Great War. Sole edition. 12mo. Original printed cloth, spotted, rear board stained, front hinge splitting but holding fine, some pale marginal dampstaining not affecting text. viii, 80pp. Bombay, The Times Press, Wilberforce-Bell (1885-1956) has inscribed the half-title: "With the author's compliments and best wishes. Dharmsala. 11/11/16." In the preface, he explains the title as, in 1916, the names of regiments and places "might conceivably probe of value to the enemy" and thus were omitted. Nonetheless, he provides a vivid account of life in the trenches which is improved by his pithy, wry observations. Rare: OCLC locates copies at BL, Oxford. COPAC adds the IWM. .
