Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (NAP). Gp. Capt. Jacob Chakko has signed, inscribed and dated (Nov 99) this copy on the title page. That is the Only writing in the book, there is no underlining or anything of that sort on any page. There are also no markings in this book. And, the pages are very clean. In fact, I didn't see a spot of soiling on any page. The pages are white and bright. However, as you can see from the rating of only Good, there are several imperfections. One having to do with the pages, and that is that there is a crease near the top edge of pages 255 to 265. It is a horizontal crease of several inches, but it is in the white margin away from any of the text. It was likely caused by a bump, although that's just a guess. When you look at the top page edges from a vantage point above the book one of the affected pages is a tiny bit higher than the rest of the book's pages. It would appear that the crease stretched out the top of the page a little. Despite this flaw, the book is well bound. None of the pages are loose, including the ones with the crease. Two other imperfections involve the covers. There is puffing or bubbling of the cloth on the rear cover. This may have something to do with the manufacturing of the book as I saw a reference to this in another seller's description. Lastly I would communicate to you that the rear cover bows out a little bit when you stand the book up and that the aforementioned bubbling/puffing can be seen on both the inside of the front and inside of the rear cover. Again, this is a cosmetic issue not affecting the binding. The covers are blue and have no lettering on them. They are clean and there isn't any wear at the corners or spine ends. The Dust Jacket is Not clipped. It is rated Very Good. It is very clean. It has several instances of minor wear. There is a little scuffing at the front top edge, a small crease at the bottom front right corner, a little crinkling at the bottom of the spine, a very tiny tear off the bottom edge of the rear cover, and at the bottom of both flaps above the edge there's a small area of creasing. It looks like something may have pushed against these areas leaving an impression but no tears. Take a look at the photographs. From the dust jacket flap 'In these pages you will find a kaleidoscope mosaic of the varied experiences of Jacob Chakko: with his family and friends, in his Air Force career, and his business. This autobiography is remarkable not just for the interesting episodes that Jacob Chakko recounts, but also for the sheer variety of the experiences described herein'. Inscribed by Author(s).
