Presumably Spratts became, or were taken over by, Caperns between 1962 and 1965. This is a small but comprehensive introduction to coarse fishing. .

Contact seller5-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Good. Not really a book. More like a photo album. Hardcover, 9 X 7 inches. The album is designed to attach collectable bird cards from Caperns Limited, an old English bird seed company. The cover is a bit grubby and the corners are a tad bumped. Staples in binding failing, some pages are coming loose. Each…card is approximately 3.5 X 5.5 inches, and are mounted 2 per page, both sides. The cards were distributed from 1926 to 1934, after which the company was bought out by Spratts. Previous owner wrote (in ink, with some smearing) the names of the cards on the inside of the front cover. There are 38 different cards mounted, plus 3 duplicates. (Cards are available online at eBay, etc., from $2 to $8 each.).
