Hardcover. Condition: Good -. Good-/No Jacket. Blind-stamped decorative maroon cloth, with maroon leather spine; gilt spine lettering. With few "new and original" illustrations. Cover extremities very heavily worn; cloth at front cover corners worn to boards; covers lightly rubbed; gilt spine lettering somewhat rubbed. Lengthy prior owner name, address, age in pencil covering front endpaper. Page 430 bears remnants of erased pencil scribbling. Otherwise clean and tight.

No markings in the text with a very few light scattered soil spots and some pages with a small water mark on the right margin. The back end papers have some light soiling and there is a name printed on the front end paper. The spine ends have some light wear.
