Corners and spine-tips of jacket rubbed. Minor shelf-we…ar to extremities of binding but cloth and gilt bright. Contents clean, bright, and fresh. A very good copy. Caesar's commentaries on his conquests and expeditions in Gaul and Britain. Paul Bidwell OBE was responsible for the excavation of Vindolanda, and the reconstruction of Segedunum on Hadrian's Wall, and remains one of the most respected archaeologists of his generation.
