Softcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1993 First Printing softcover. AUTOGRAPHED by co-authors Edwin Bliss and Isamu Aoki on the half-title page. A clean, unmarked copy otherwise. Binding is firm. Cardstock cover is glossy, shows minimal shelf-rubbing. First Printing is indicated by the full number line on the copyright page. Nice copy overall. "75 percent of employees steal at least once, and half of those steal at least twice. According to the estimate of one insurance company, one in three small business failures can be attributed to internal theft. This insightful and provocative book exposes the topic of employee theft. ARE YOUR EMPLOYEES STEALING YOU BLIND? is especially useful for small businesses and single-proprietor operations such as doctors, lawyers, dentists, and architects. It covers many types of theft -- from computer sabotage (considered the most serious and costly ways readers might be ripped off), to such topics as losses from harassment and hiring liability settlements. Valuable tips, warning signs, and remedies will inform and guide the reader. Written with a lively, engaging touch, ARE YOUR EMPLOYEES STEALING YOU BLIND? is an invaluable resource for any business owner or manager. The expert knowledge and experience shared by the author will be referred to time after time by business owners and managers.". Signed.…

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very good. First Edition. This is number 69 of 200 copies. An autograph letter signed (ALS) by Bliss Carman is tipped in at the front, and a small card inscribed and dated by Blanche Hume is tipped in opposite the title page. Another note in Hume's hand, tipped in on the verso of the front flyleaf, suggests this is one of six large paper copies produced by The Ryerson Press. William Bliss Carman (1861-1929) was a Canadian regional poet of the Maritime Provinces and the New England region of the United States who is remembered chiefly for poignant love poems and one or two rhapsodies in celebration of nature. He was acclaimed as Canada's poet laureate during his later years. Octavo: 58 p. Original brown paper-covered boards, with a printed paper title label. Just a hint of foxing to the contents. The boards are a touch edgeworn, with a small nick to the spine head; otherwise very good.…
