Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the analysis of queueing delays that arise in buffered multistage interconnection networks, specifically those employed in multiprocessor computing systems. The author provides rigorous mathematical upper bounds for the delays encountered in stages beyond the first, assuming the availability of infinite buffers. The findings are supported by extensive simulations conducted by the author using a self-driven network simulator. This work extends prior research, which primarily focused on the analysis of delays in the first stage, offering valuable insights into the behavior of these networks in subsequent stages. The book contributes to the theoretical understanding of multistage interconnection networks, providing a foundation for the design and performance evaluation of such networks in multiprocessor systems. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
