      Condition: Fair. 1942. First Edition. 448 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine and edges are moderately tanned. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with some visible marking also.

      HARDCOVER. 1948. Third impression. A very good copy in blue cloth boards with black lettering on the spine. The spine has a hint of sun fading. Light spotting on the top edge. Apart from a bookseller stamp on the front pastedown and a previous owners name on the front free endpaper the contents are fine and unmarked.
