The text opens with a story about a sneaky cat and continues with other short tales about dogs and hens. The front board features a non-book-specific cover applique, the cover title being Artful Pussy, regarding the opening story, while the applique features a cocker spaniel that does not appear in the text at all. OCLC lists this title in only two libraries.
