Very Good with moderate wear, the edges slightly spotted and the boards a little marked, the prelims also faintly spotted, and with insignificant soiling and a scuff between pp.14-15, in the jacket, slightly rubbed to extremities such as the spine ends, the upper flap fold with a small chip at its tail edge, that flap with an unobtrusive corner crease, and the upper panel a little scratched, but Very Good overall. First Edition. "Deluxe" issue, no. 40 of 50 numbered and signed copies; printed on blue paper (otherwise indistinguishable from the trade issue, so far as this cataloguer can discern). Small, slim octavo; blue paper-covered boards; dustjacket; 48pp. Fine, in the original dustwrapper, unclipped, with no printed price on flap, inconspicuous trace of wear at edges; about Fine. First published collection by the great Tyneside working-class poet, founder and central figure of the Morden Tower Book Room; both muse and mentee to Basil Bunting (who supplied the Preface to this volume) and reputedly a driving force behind the writing of Bunting's masterpiece, "Briggflatts". A great little book, necessarily uncommon in this limitation. Signed.…
