Hardcover. Condition: Good. Later printing. Oblong 8vo. A good copy in red cloth with gilt title on top cover and spine. Illustrated. Inner hinge tender but strengthened by library tape. Bumping to corners. Owner's name to front paste down. pages not numbered. This little work includes a short history of political caricatures from James Gillray to Thomas Nast. This is a charming collection of political humor that includes views on major events. The themes are of course relevant to the day and express sentiments at that time. Some are racist.
