Contact seller5-star sellerDecorative Cloth. Condition: Good +. No Jacket. First Edition. Tuxedo Avenue to Water Street, Being the Story of a Transplanted Church was written by Amos. R. Wells and illustrated by Josephine Bruce. The book was published by Funk and Wagnalls Company in 1906 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated… as such. The book is not an ex-library copy and has no dust jacket. But it's in good + condition with decorative cloth boards. The spine IS getting a bit brittle and the pages are beginning to yellow. It has 259 pages with a Table of Contents and several black-and-white illustrated plates that are not part of the page count. "It is a parable. It shows a church transferred to the highways and hedges, a church going forth, as all churches will some day go forth, to the place where the need is, where the work and the blessedness are." Thank you!. Josephine Bruce (illustrator).
