1 pièce signée 7 In-folio 25/11/1844 Cachet du gouverneur des établissements français de l'Océanie. quelques rousseurs Ordonnances du gouverneur des établissements français de l'Océanie, l'amiral Bruat, relatives aux avaries survenues au trois-mâts bordelais, le Jules, abîmé sur les récifs coralliens de Oahu. L'amiral Bruat nomme une commission d'experts pour déterminer l'importance des dégâts, fait réaliser les travaux puis inspecter le navire en vue d'affirmer s'il est «en état d'entreprendre sûrement une longue navigation». Ce document constitué de la copie des diverses ordonnances et rapports d'experts, est signé pour expédition conforme, par le chef d'état-major et ingénieur de la Marine, J. Malbranche et par l'amiral Bruat, gouverneur. Amiral, gouverneur des îles Marquises puis des Etablissements français de l'Océanie (1843), il fit reconnaître le protectorat français sur Tahiti.
