Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Hardcover, minor wear, signed by 4 veterans throughout the book. Page 17 is signed by Col. Walter Stewart USAF 93rd Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. He was pilot of B-24 "Utah Man" over Ploesti for the famous low-level raid on the oil refineries - he dropped the first bombs on Ploesti that day. Page 81 is signed by Franz Stigler and Charles L. Brown. Stigler was a German Luftwaffe pilot in JG-27 and JV-44. He was also a 28 kill ACE. Brown was a B-17 pilot in the 379th Bomb Group. His B-17 was heavily damaged when Franz Stigler came up to it - Stigler tried to get Brown to land but he refused. They later became good friends. Pages 93 and 120 are signed by Chaplain Delbert Kuehl - Col. US Army. He was a chaplain in the 504t Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in WWII. He made combat jumps into Sicily, Italy, Holland and was also at the Battle of the Bulge. Signed by Author(s).
