Rough Rock, Arizona. Right bottom front cover corner bumped. Interior is faultless. Illustrations by Andy Tsinajinnie. This book is a biography of Denetsosie [Dine'Ts'osi] who was a leader and medicine man among the Navajo people. This book is part of a curriculum for Navajo children. Inroduction titled A Talk With Navajo Students by John Dick. Denetsie was revered leader in the Navaho Community until his death in 1969. Serenity of spirit, education and respect for Navajos as well as other Indians and White Men was his guiding philosophy. My grandfather used to talk to me about respect toward all people. I still am like that. I never get mad or say any bad things to people about people. He stood tallas a man who knew and respected both the Najajo culture and the Anglo way of life.
