Calf. Condition: Very Good. Viii pp + 294 pages and a single leaf publishers catalogue at the rear. two small neat contemporary ink inscriptions on top of title "H. Davies 1791" & Owen and on endpaper "Dr Owen. Beaumaris" (could be the earliest?) Speckled calf worn, top board hangs by a single thread and almost detached. actual…contents clean and tight. Very Good. Octavo. 20 x 13 cm. 1762. The work was first published in 1756, we think this was a 2nd edition, the author died in 1806.He published another work in 1760 "Ornithologie" which is still an important treatise on the study of birds.
