Frontispiece portrait and 5 other black and white illustrations as called for, including woodblock on pamphlet's rear. Publisher's leaflet laid in. FAIR-only with areas of sunning and abrasion on the front panel and soiling akin to shelf-sli…de on rear panel. The wrappers around the staples have worn through. A one-inch tear with no loss, front panel top-edge downward near spine, that could be mended with a piece of tape quite easily by a steadier hand than we possess. Book is protected now in a clear Ultra-Pro sleeve. A scarce item, both in trade and institutional holdings, with a 2024 OCLC search returning Harvard and RISD only.
