This book is a collection of 11 soliloquies from various characters that represent a spectrum of American perspectives on the devastating impact of the Civil War on their lives. Through their heartfelt monologues, the author brings to life the complexities, moral dilemmas, disillusionment, and aspirations of those caught in the upheaval of the Civil War. This deeply moving work explores the enduring themes of patriotism, loss, equality, and the search for purpose and meaning in the wake of societal upheaval and national division.
