Included are an introduction about Ersari history and the 3 types of rugs: Beshir, Afghan and Kizi…l Ayak; a bibliography, the gallery of rugs exhibited and a map of Turkoman country. Although the title mentions rugs, there are many examples of camel bags and trappings, saddle bags (for horses/donkeys), tent pole covers, and other decorative weavings used in everyday life. Even in b/w, this is a lovely catalogue and an excellent resource for anyone who collects or is otherwise interested in these kinds of textiles. G+ (spine beginning to come unglued, few small notations throughout text, ex-lib. stamp and sticker on back cover, all pages intact).
