Published by Jonathan Cape, London, 1932 first edition. A good copy of this blue cloth hardback with scarce dustjacket. The dustjacket is rather grubby with toned spine and some small closed tears. Price clipped inside (via a torn corner). The cloth hardback also slightly faded around spine area and age toned to edges. With Jonathan Cape bookmark/postcard. Soundly bound - no endpaper splits. Some tone marks to first and last endpapers. Text is very good throughout - nice and clean, and includes lovely woodcuts by Freda Bone. She was the daughter of Sir David William Bone (1874-1959), a Scottish Commodore and author. 279pp + 1pp epilogue. Dimensions: Approximately 206mm high x 146mm wide x 30mm deep.
