Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The New Fiction Library, Volume One, Number Two. August 1932. W. M. Clayton, Publisher, 155 E. 44th St., New York. A Clayton Publication. The second and final issue of Clayton's short-lived "book magazine" experiment - one complete novel per issue in pulp format, 25 cents, published… quarterly. The title ran only two issues before Clayton Publications collapsed into bankruptcy in early 1933; this issue closed out the run. Rated Scarce in Bookery's Guide to Pulps and Related Magazines. Lead novel: White Captive by Benjamin Bolt, billed on the cover as "The Month's Prize Story," an adventure-romance opening in Palembang, Sumatra. Frontispiece by Lloyd Morris. By this issue the imprint had shifted from E. F. Borden, Plainfield, New Jersey to W. M. Clayton, New York - the only issue under the Clayton imprint before the publisher's collapse. Condition: See detailed photos. Reach out with any questions. Professionally packed and shipped with care.
