Seventeen species of opisthobranchs from Chesapeake Bay were studied, 4 Cephalaspidea, 6 Ascoglossa, 5 Doridoidea, and 2 Eolidoidea. The radula of "Acteon" punctostriatus from Chesapeake Bay shows that the species comes under Rictaxis Dall, 1871, hence the species called punctostriatus from Brazil, a true Acteon, receives a new name, Acteon pelecais. Two species of Haminoea, distinguished by a small cylindrical shell, H. succinea, and a larger ovoid shell, H. solitaria, have consistent anatomical features. The generic name of Stiliger has to be replaced by Ercolania due to Baba & Hamatani's (1970a) redescription of Stiliger ornatus. Alderia harvardiensis is identical with A. modesta which occurs in Finland, California, and Brazil. Hermaea cruciata is redescribed. It differs from H. coirala from Brazil. The substitution of Cargoa for Okenia is unnecessary. Cratena kaoruae Marcus, 1957, from Brazil is a synonym of C. pilata. A key is given for the 16 western Atlantic species of Anaspidea and two Middle Atlantic ones. These are eight (and two) species of Aplysia, and Notarchus punctatus armatus, Stylocheilus longicauda, Stylocheilus citrinus, Bursatella leachii pleii, Dolabrifera dolabrifera, Petalifera petalifera bonairei, Petalifera ramosa, and Phyllaplysia engeli. Descriptions are given for Petalifera p. bonairei and Petalifera ramosa. A key to the subgenera of the genus Aplysia is also furnished. Comparative notes are made on anatomical and systematic characters, sole, pallial cavity, shell, and nervous system. My subdivision of the Notarchidae leaves only Notarchus in the Notarchinae; the remainder of the genera are allotted to the Dolabriferinae. Nineteen species certainly or probably belonging to the genus Toledonia Dall have been listed and discussed with regard to their anatomy, taxonomy and zoogeography. A complete specimen of Aceton bullatus (Gould, 1847) was studied. On the basis of the radula and the retractile penis the species was transferred to the diaphanid genus Toledonia Dall. Three new species, Onchidella brattstroemi, O. miuska, and O. wah, from the Florida Keys and Colombia, are described. The first-named species differs from O. indolens in having smaller notal tubercles, and in the shape of the male organ, and from other Atlantic species in wanting a penial papilla. O. miusha with a penial retractor of type II differs from O. marginata in lacking a caecum and concretions in the penial sac.
