hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Bob Hines (illustrator). 1966 first edition. VG+/VG+. Very light wear to dust jacket. Book is in excellent condition with minimal wear. Interior is pristine. No writing or markings of any kind. Ships in a box packed with care.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Green boards with gilt lettering and gilt pictures of birds on the front panel. End papers are free from writing and book plates. Corners are sharp, but the green color is rubbed away to varying degrees. The rear end papers have some foxing. The DJ has a 2" up the bottom edge of the front flap. There are other tears-one of the back panel and one on the top front. The corners of the DJ have some chipping/creasing/discoloration. General shelf wear. The back of the DJ has a damp stain. The section of the cloth behind this stain is ever-so slightly bubbled. Some soiling of the text block In spite of all this, this book is square and tight. This book covers, birds of prey, birds and hunting, birds and pesticides; influence of birds in art and our lives; birds and the design of airplanes which is not to be confused with another section on birds co-existing with airports. Since this book predates, the banning of DDT in the U.S., it might be a good read.
