Dez gravuras, uma no ante-rosto de cada um dos Cantos dos Lusíadas ~ A viúva de Bertrand terá encomendado ao impressor Didot de Paris esta nova edição das Obras de Camões preparadas e comentadas pelo Pe. Tomás José de Aquino -já impressas duas vezes em Lisboa, a primeira na Officina Luisiana, 1779-1780 e depois por Simão Thaddeo Ferreira em 1783- com o fim de embelecê-las com estampas gravadas a talho doce pelos artistas franceses da época. O retrato de Camões foi gravado por Auguste Blanchard père, no de Vasco da Gama não figura autoria. Os frontispícios de cada Canto são de Harding e de Tardieu, mas nem todos estão assinados.
