Full Cambridge style binding in polished brown calf, with 5 raised bands. Joints cracked but holding; boards scuffed with wear at corners. Tidy ownership inscription to ffep dated 1733, with a trio o…f Biblical quotations to verso, and another to title page. Faint foxing. A Good, handsome copy. The work was printed twice in 1716, with minor variations; this is presumed the earlier printing. Thomas Bisse (d. 1731) was the younger brother of the Bishop of Hereford, and a frequent preacher.
