Two volume set: the first two volumes of Parson's 1794 Tatler reprint, covering its first-ever issue in April 1709 to the last of that year on December 31. It is volumes 31 and 32 from Parson's Select British Classics. Not-quite-contemporary brown leather, with gilt titling and decoration, leather tit…le pieces at spine; leather edgeworn, cracking at spines, minor loss at spine heads. An early rebind, with newer endsheets and fly leaves than the text itself. Inner hinges cracked in both volumes, binding else intact, solid through texts. Prior owner's name neatly inked to both paste downs. Interiors else clean, pages lightly toned, texts unmarked.
