BEVENS, W[illiam] E. Reminiscences of a Private, Company "G," First Arkansas Regiment Infantry. May, 1861 to 1865. [Newport, AR, c. 1913]. 2nd ed. expanded and with additional portraits. 89 pp. Portraits. Orig. cloth. Some light soiling to cloth, else a very good copy. HOWES B-407. Coulter 30. Dornbusch II, 107. Dornbusch, Howes, and Coulter all describe an edition with only 58 pages of text and with the date in the title reading, "May, 1861 to April, 1865." Also, Coulter describes only three full page portraits in that edition, while the present copy has those three plus nine others. The larger edition is apparently the later of the two, although it was probably issued within a few years of the first. Both editions are dated circa 1913 in OCLC. This copy is inscribed: "J. R. Gibbons Presented by the author Nov 15 1914.".
