First Edition. 64pp, not price clipped, no inscriptions, book is in good condition with all four plates present and only very light spotting to a few pages. wrapper was in three pieces with both flaps detached and wear to all edges with slight loss to bottom corner of front cover, and top and bottom of spine. Cover has been internally repaired with special non acidic archive tape and is now in a clear removable protective sleeve. Cover illustration complete. Happy to supply photographs on request. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Included. 64pp + 4 full page colour illustrations by Ida Rentoul Outhwaite. Dust jacket states the author as Madeleine Collier (she wrote a title uniform with this volume). Cloth boards, little bumped. Top and bottom of spine faded. Dust jacket soiled and creased with large tear across the whole of the illustration on the front and piece (3x2cms) lacking from top edge next to spine. Page edges very foxed, several pages foxed. Inner hinge (between frontispiece and title page) cracked but binding still holds. 19x13cms.
A and C Black, 1942. Reprint. A good copy in lightly worn blue boards which have some fading to the spine and the bottom and fore edges. No d/w. Internally the only mark is a gift inscription to the front free endpaper. Otherwise the pages are lovely and clean and the binding is secure. Scans available if required.

Bumped, cloth marked and grubby, sunned edges, light flecking, rubbed, offsets to endpapers, foxed, non-authorial gift inscription at free front endpaper, hinges cracked, foxed, age-toned. Binding a little loose in places but quite sound. Contents good, clear and bright. Pictures available on request.
