Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Thousands of dogs rescued from fighting rings, illicit breeding operations, puppy mills and kill shelters have been rehabilitated and adopted into loving homes thanks to Missouri prison inmates in the largest and most successful prison dog training program in the nation. Puppies for Parole does not receive a dime of taxpayer money. It is supported solely by cash and in-kind donations from school groups, scout troops, bake sales, prisoners' savings accounts, businesses, and private citizens. Current and former inmates, prison staff, veterinarians, animal rescue organizations and adopters share their remarkable stories of canine and human healing and redemption. Richly illustrated with black and white photographs by Jerry Naunheim and Zachary Linhares. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
