She made her debut in 1898 in Christiania, afterward touring as a concert pianist in Europe and the United States. After ending her concert career, she became the first piano teacher in S verud, and also taught at the Music Conservatory in Bergen. She wrote as a music critic for the Arbeidet og Bergens Arbeiderblad.

Guttenberg was perceived as a hardline conservative anticommunist as well as a convinced proponent of European integration. His work was mostly within the field of foreign policy. Guttenberg served as an officer during World War 2, but was punished for anti-Nazi statements and became, through his uncle Karl Ludwig Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg, a member of the anti-Nazi resistance in the German army; he was imprisoned after the July 20 plot and executed shortly before the war's end. The Ferrari 212 Export was a racing Sports car produced by Ferrari in 1951 to replace the 195 S. It had…a shorter wheelbase than the road-oriented Ferrari 212 Inter model, which was a Grand tourer. The Colombo engine used in the Export had a 8.0:1 compression ratio, up from the 7.5:1 ratio used in the Inter. Customers who wanted the Export to be a faster GT than the Inter ordered the engine with one Weber 36 DCF carburetor, which would give a power output of 150 bhp (112 kW) at 6000 rpm. Most Exports were used in competition and were fitted with a more complicated setup with three Weber 32 DCF carburetors, yielding a power output of 175 bhp (130 kW; 177 PS) at 6500 rpm. Twenty-eight 212 Export models were built. In 1951, 212 Exports took the first three places in the Tour de France automobile racing event and won the Giro di Sicilia and the Giro di Toscana motor races. 72 pp. Englisch.

Permanent European presence in the area came with the 1770 founding of the Presidio of Monterey and Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo by Gaspar de Portolà and Father Junípero Serra, about sixty miles to the south. Don Pedro Fages, the military governor at Monterey, passed through the area on his 1770 and 1772 expeditions to explore the East Bay and Sacramento River Delta. Late in 1775, Juan Bautista de Anza led an expedition to bring colonists from New Spain to California and to locate sites for two missions, one presidio, and one pueblo. He left the colonists at Monterey in 1776, and explored north with a small group. 92 pp. Englisch.
