Self-wrappers. 4 pp. with slip announcing change of program laid in. The program comprises a series of concerts in July and August, 1943, at venues in Cambridge and Boston. Music from the standard classical repertoire comprised most of the performed pieces. The third program, performed August 1-2, 1943, was in two parts. The first part was performed by the Boston Society of Ancient Instruments, with numbers by Purcell, Gibbons, and so on. The second part, with Leonard Bernstein conducting, included Suite from The Wind Remains by Paul Bowles, in 7 movements. The piece was retained in the change of program announced on the laid-in slip. The Wind Remains premiered as a one-act opera in March of that year, with Bernstein conducting, at the Museum of Modern Art. This may be the first performance of the concert version of the music. Rare and ephemeral. Bowles only began writing fiction in the late 1940s.
