We are probably being warned that fine feathers do not make fine birds, as the gentleman cannot see, for the fashionable feathered attire, that the lady has crossed eyes and a large nose. (Or perhaps what he CAN see, from that angle, is more interesting than the feathers: pick out your own morals, if any.) Mailed in 1915, a small crease in left margin, perhaps where the recipient clutched it; else fine.

Bernhardt Wall has combined his trademark cute kid with the idea of Eve doing her laundry, and has also tossed in a reference to the ten trendy nude painting September Morn for good measure. Mailed around 1912, nice condition; wish the sender hadn't written that comparison of the young lady to Clara, but she did it rather nicely.
