Condition: Sehr gut. Original wrappers, 14 pages, very good condition. Loosely inserted is a 4 page folding leavelet - Special Form of Scervice in Commemoration of His late Majesty King Edward VII. May 20, 1910. Full details of the military, foreign representatives and nobles walking in the Procession. The Valets of the King, Mr Meidinger and Mr Wrightson walked immediately before the Gun Carriage, Prince Louis of Battenberg, the King`s Personal Aide-de-Campe immediately behind. Numerous Kings and Highnesses followed, i.a. the Kings of Norway, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, Denmark, Belgium and Portugal. Attending was also Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whose death caused the outbreak of the First World War a couple of years later. Even a Prince from Japan, His Imperial Highness S. Fushimi, attended. The funeral was the largest gathering of European royalty ever to take place. Very rare, we find a copy of the main booklet only at Harvard College Libary, none in British libraries. We find no reference to the service leavelet. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
