Includes three separate tales: the Tale of Peter Rabbit, the Little Red Hen, and The Owl and the Pussycat. Paper-covered boards with paste-on chromo portrait of Peter Rabbit. The illustrations are all present as is the full text. The free rear endpage seems to be the only loss. The binding has split and will need rebacking, the block has shaken though the entirety is still accounted for.…

Cover panel, plus twelve panels retelling the story of Peter Rabbit and Mister McGregor, an additional ten panels on the reverse telling the story of the Little Red Hen, and a rear panel that repeats one of the Little Red Hen illustrations. Published 1920 by Sam'l Gabriel Sons, with no credit to Beatrix Potter. An early pirated Beatrix Potter. Fabric hinges show some wear, but still solid. Some edge and corner wear. A Rare edition, in the real book seller and collector meaning of the word.…
