Hardcover. Condition: Good No dust jacket as issued. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket As Issued. First Edition. One inch tear to spine cloth along gutter, front cover, a bit of paper below exposed. Also a nearly 5" tear to cloth along the edge of spine facing the back cover, resulting in the cloth flapping loose if pulled up, it is still solid along the bend to the front cover. It would appear this could be very easily repaired and then barely noticeable if done correctly. Some other minor shelf-wear to the covers, the most at the head of the spine.; A very neatly written in script (with underline below each line) presentation on the front free end-paper, near top, reads "Charles Wesley Costolo (sic) , From his Teacher, Wm Penn Lloyd." then a bit below "An Award of Merit For Diligence and Obedience in School, March 2nd 1866". This is all inked and the ink has faded somewhat over the many years, I believe I have the last name and the year correct, they are the two instances of the writing which is hard to make out.; 216 pages.…
