It is based upon methods used by the author in teaching high school students.The photographs of the various objects illustrated are of student work, with the exception of those showing the work of Mr. Mardirosian, a professional of New York City. Many of the pieces of jewelry shown are the work of beginners-boys and girls- who in many instances had been working at the art only a short time. Their work is used for illustrative purposes so that others interested in the work can see what high school students, amateurs, have accomplished.
