In-12 (20 x 13 cm), 3 ff., II-276 pp., broché. Softcover. Planches hors-texte et carte ethnographique dépliante. Né à Paris le 15 mars 1867, engagé volontaire en 1886, Baudesson qui est mis à disposition du ministère des Colonies en 1901, rejoint le Tonkin et expose à Hanoi en 1902 les clichés de sa mission du Lang Bian dont il a publié le récit : « Deux ans chez les Moïs ». Baudesson a également été en charge d'une partie des études sur le Transindochinois, ligne de chemin de fer qui relie Saigon à Hanoi, et au-delà, à la Chine. Bon exemplaire.
