Later (I suspect) leather spine and marbled boards. Good only. Besides the missing plate, the book suffers from miscellaneous wear to the covers. There has been some awkward r…epairs to interior hinges, with webbed tape. New endpapers seem likely. All in all a scarce book, but flawed.

There is ar four fold-out pages showing various figures containing figurs drawn by Burghers. vi+96pp. Quarter -bound in brown leather with brown cloth to remainder. Both front and…rear boards are detached but present. Spine leather heavily rubbed and the leather on the boards are rubbed but less so. Previously held by the Municipal Library of Warrington with their bookplate to fixed end paper and small stamp to several pages. Preliminary pages have been heavily stained, possibly foxing to much of their pages and there is light foxing to several pages. Edition note written to top of title page. Burghers, Michael (illustrator).
