Original Cloth. 1st American Edition. 22 x 14 cm., 183 pp. Memoirs of a Wren who spent the second world war as a naval signaller near Oban. The book is illustrated with b/w photos and with maps the area round Oban on the end papers. It is covered in blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine. CONDITION. VG+/ VG+. A clean tight copy. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed along the top edge, and is price clipped. No marks of ownership.

Spiral Bound. Condition: Very Good. 198pp. This example initially proved to be something of a mystery. I thought it might have been a proof copy, but I have now arrived at the conclusion that the author was originally producing her own home-made copies before her book was published professionally. Minor external wear to card covers & VG internally. Text appears to have originated from a typewriter and then has been reproduced and spiral bound. Potentially scarce example? Size: 4to - over 93/4" - 12" tall. Book.

We believe this is one of a number of pre-publication copies from the manuscript, as her first UK edition is given as 1994 (by Parapress), eight years later. Page numbers handwritten, black spiral binding. Long signed typescript letter from the Author loosely inserted regarding a possible TV appearance.dated 1987.
