Neuware -In diesem Buch geht es um die Bewertung der Randanpassung einer Klasse-V-Composite-Kunststoffrestauration von fünf Gruppen mit unterschiedlichen Oberflächenbehandlungen: Laser mit vollständiger Säureätzung, Laser mit Selbstätzung, nur Laser, nur vollständige Ätzung und nur Selbstätzung an vier verschiedenen Verbundwerkstoff-/Zahngrenzflächenbereichen (gingivale, mesiale, distale und okklusale Bereiche). Für diese Studie wurden 25 gesunde menschliche dritte Molaren von annähernd vergleichbarer Größe ausgewählt. In die bukkale und linguale Seite jedes Zahns wurde eine Kavität der standardisierten Klasse V eingebracht. Als Restaurationsmaterial wurde Tetric N-ceram verwendet. Anschließend wurden alle Proben einem Temperaturwechsel- und mechanischen Lastwechselverfahren unterzogen. Der Randspalt wurde mithilfe eines Rasterelektronenmikroskops festgestellt. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie zeigten, dass die Zähne mit Laser behandelt wurden und Total Etch im Vergleich zu anderen Gruppen eine hochsignifikant stärkere marginale Anpassung in gingivalen, mesialen, distalen und okklusalen Bereichen aufwies.
