Trade Paperback. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition / First Printing. Hint of edge and corner wear, minor crease in the back cover, small spot where a sticker has been removed from the upper corner of the front cover, overall a very crisp and clean, collectible, signed first edition! Inscribed by the author on the title page! Wonderfully well-preserved, collectible copy! "Floyd Barringer was born 1915 in the village of Emden, Logan county, Illinois. His father, Dr. B.M. Barringer, was a country doctor of the old school, and his brother, Dr. Donald, was a general practitioner in Lincoln. Dr. Floyd graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1939, and early in 1941 volunteered for medical service with Doctors For Britain. He served in the British Emergency Medical Service from July 1941 to April 1946 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Here he was a resident neurosurgeon during the war years treating both British military and civilians. Here he met and married Nurse Winifred Wain of Ripley, Derbyshire.". Inscribed By the Author.…
