Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. This is quite possibly the finest historical atlas of the Jewish people available. It is lavishly illustrated with maps, photographs and works of art, covering the time period from the Patriarchs to the 1990s. The text accompanying the illustrations is supplemented by a continuous timeline that runs along the bottom of each page, providing additional historical perspective. This copy was withdrawn from the Encino-Tarzana branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, with typical library book flaws. The dust jacket is glued to the paste-down sides of the endpapers; there are library stamps on the half-title & title pages and outside page edges; there are stickers on the front and back covers and spine; the ffep seems to have been removed and the front hinge reinforced with tape. The book and dust jacket are still in very good condition, but the condition is downgraded to "good" only because of all the library stamps and stickers and general wear. No visible tears, pencil/pen marks etc., other than noted above. Note that while there are less expensive copies on ABE, all of those copies use general, non-specific descriptions of condition, and none is illustrated with photos of the actual book. 299 pages, 9ĵ x 11½ inches. Large and heavy, extra shipping required. Sales tax will be added to all California orders.
