In-16° (cm. 20x12,4), pp. 12. Fasc. edit. a graffa. Timbro Gabotto in cop. fessure parz. al ds., esemplare sciolto. CARABELLESE lavorava allora in questo Archivio e invoca il CROCE perché intervenga nel dibattito "intorno alle condizioni miserevoli, in cui trovasi ridotto il Grande Archivio" e scende in raccapriccianti paragoni con altri Archivi e in dettagli: "l'analfabetismo storico e paleografico, che grava sulla maggioranza degl'impiegati". ecc. La parte più notevole dell'impegno storiografico del CARABELLESE si svolse intorno alla storia civile della Puglia, per la quale aveva predisposto i materiali occorrenti con ricerche bibliografiche e con la consultazione dei fondi degli archivi di Bitonto, Terlizzi, Giovinazzo, Troia, Cava, Ragusa, e specialmente dell'Archivio di Stato di Napoli. Piccolo documento, ma intenso e destabilzzante. Introvabile. Così com'è.
