One loop of the steel spiral is bent inward about halfway up in a way that doesn't keep pages from turning. The spiral was painted red, largely flaked off, and…is oxidizing slightly. There is little shelf wear (one page is torn near the edge), pages have tanned due to age. Tipped-in adhesive book plates seem to be intact. Some of the later pages and back cover seem slightly warped due to possible water damage. Demonstrations of modern design in typography, with over 160 examples of typography (mostly in color, many in facsimile) by the authors. Includes 9 tipped-in typographic bookplates, actual letterheads printed on various textured papers, business cards, menus, announcements, trademarks, posters, etc.
